"That will be very strange," he said, and wished it didn't feel so awkward to be sitting here, talking with his sister. It shouldn't be awkward, but he kept waiting for her to start crying, and then he didn't know what he'd do.
He squeezed her more tightly. "I'll tell her," he said, knowing that Wren wouldn't mind. "She might just come and read, knowing her." He wondered about the wedding, and if there was still going to be one. He didn't ask though, because he didn't know how she'd react.
"He's still a menace," he said, frowning. "But I think he misses you. Want me to try to smuggle him in here?"
