Hugo leaned into the hug, forgetting all about being angry with her. That could wait until later, when she was better and he could ask he what the hell she'd been thinking. Right now, his job was to support her, and just be there when she needed him.
He moved onto the bed, and wrapped an arm around her shoulder so she could rest her head on his shoulder. "I know. I'm catching up to dad," he said, and then grinned. That had always been his goal, to be taller than his dad, and he just might manage it.
"I'm fine, Rosie," he said, and kissed her head. "Wren's fine too. Worried about you though. Is it all right if she comes to visit?"
