Rose spent most of her days crying or sleeping or daydreaming. Even with the visits from family, she still was feeling sad and alone. Anthony said it would take time and talking about her depression would help. So would a number of other things, which had all been written down for her to follow.
Today, she tried to sit up in bed, but she just didn't have the energy. Instead she was again, curled up into a ball on her side near the top of the bed, so she could see people come in and out. The lack of energy was possibly caused by her lack of appetite. Although, Rose tried to eat everything given to her even if she didn't feel like it.
Seeing her brother, brought a tiny smile to her face. "Hi," she said, tilting her head to look at him better. She nodded that she would enjoy the company before reaching out an arm for a hug. She wrapped her arms around him and held tight for a moment. It was the first time that she realized how tall he was getting. "You're taller than me."
Pulling away to lay back down, she said, "How are you doing?" She patted the bed, inviting him to sit. "How's Wren?"
