God, a smile like that could break a man's heart if he were to lose it.
Kissing his lover one last time, he stopped himself from apologising in advance for the lack of preparation. He'd thought, when he'd read those books, the first time he did this, really and truly made the attempt to give Regulus the experience he needed, he'd be more prepared, have whatever props he thought he could start with ready. He hadn't considered this might happen as everything else about their relationship had -- spontaneously because it simply felt like the right time for it.
For this time, it would be only himself and his magic that took care of Regulus. But, perhaps that was as it should be. He'd spent less time reading about the practices than the why, the emotional needs that were expressed in the physical acts. And, that was what he was going to try to give Regulus now.
Taking each of Regulus' hands in his, he laced their fingers together. Pulling their joined hands over their heads, he cast the same charm he had cast to get them out of their jail cell. This time, however, he crafted the air to take the shape of restraints, pinning his lover's wrists to the mattress. The air would give without breaking or chaffing. "If you say the words 'no', 'don't', or 'stop' in any combination other than 'no, don't stop'," he said calmly, shifting so that he could sit up, straddling the other man's waist, "I will release you and we will wait to try again another time. Understood?"
"I want you to feel." Remus conjured a length of what he hoped was green silk and slowly reached up to tie this firmly, but not tightly, over his lover's eyes. "I want you to do nothing but feel and express whatever it is you're feeling. I want to hear you. I enjoy hearing you. It doesn't have to be words. But, I don't want you to hold back anything. Whatever you feel, I want to hear it. Understood?"
He left Regulus' legs free, wanting to see him writhe later, and moved off of him to stretch out alongside him. Remus propped himself up on his elbow, biting his lip as he surveyed his lover, but not touching him just yet. This first time was going to be more about establishing trust in this new aspect of their relationship than the actual pain.
"Are you comfortable?" he asked, wanting to make sure he wasn't cutting off circulation with the restraints.
