RP: Alex and Jamie
Who: Alex and Jamie
Where: Great Hall, over the remnants of lunch
When: 2 August
Rating/Warnings: N/A
Summary: Alex re-reads the post and marvels at how stupid the world has become.
Alex picked at the edge of his sandwich, making a neat pile of crusts along one edge of his plate. He'd carry them outside later for the birds; someone might as well eat them. He'd finished another batch of pain relief potions and one of Pepper-Up, and after lunch he'd head for the greenhouse and the Aconite seedlings that should be ready for replanting in the larger beds.
But now he sat on one bench, his long legs stretched to prop his feet on the opposite side, picking at his lunch and re-reading the letter he'd got from the Board of Governors. As if they governed Hogwarts anymore? As if they could tell him where to go to school.
The Minister, in his infinite wisdom, has reached an agreement with the Headmaster of Durmstrang to allow every Hogwarts student to attend Durmstrang... How very big of him. And them. Whatever. He'd already used up the schedule and list of things to bring, as tinder for last evening's fire. Maybe the letter would be tonight's tinder.
If I can't go to school here, I'm not going anywhere, he thought, then snorted. Like they could make me go anywhere anyway. I'm seventeen. The minister can take his infinite wisdom and shove it.
The letter crackled satisfyingly as Alex crumpled it in his hand, then let it drop alongside his plate. The rest of his sandwich was more interesting, and after that, the seedlings.
