RP: Execution of Lee Jordan Who: Voldemort, lots and lots of people Where: Quidditch Pitch at Rannoch Moor When: July 31, 2025, evening Rating/Warnings: Summary: Voldemort holds a public execution.
In lieu of a Harry Potter Day celebration--which were of course banned, Voldemort had arranged for a celebration of his new regime. Hundreds of people filled the seats at the Rannoch Moor Quidditch Pitch. There were many Ministry personnel, business owners, high-profile members of the community, and of course children, who especially needed to be de-brainwashed regarding Harry Potter.
The event re-iterated the successes of the regime in restoring order and moving wizardingkind to its proper place in the world. There was the explanation of why Muggleborns had to be imprisoned for their theft of magical powers. Several goblins from Gringotts were on hand to discuss how well the bank and the economy had improved since Voldemort's takeover. Albus Dumbledore was maligned for trying to overthrow the wizarding government in the late 1890s with Gellert Grindelwald's help. Of course, there was also much flash and pomp displays. If Voldemort cared about such aesthetics, he's sure he would have been impressed.
The main element of the event was the public trial and execution of Lee Jordan for crimes against the state. The charges were read, as was Lee's confession (of course the involuntary part of that was omitted), and then the Wizengamot issued their ruling.
"On behalf of our wizarding community and in the interest of justice, I accept your verdict and thank you for your service," Voldemort's voice boomed through the stadium.
He looked at Lee Jordan and silently cast the spell that would make his innards dissolve, causing gross pain before the Dementor could deliver its kiss. Although his face registered nothing, he was shocked that Lee showed no sign of pain. But the Dementor arrived and delivered the kiss.
"Such is the fate for all who oppose the Dark Lord," Voldemort muttered.
