Hugo sighed. Sometimes talking to Wren was like talking to his mother. She seemed to know everything, and sometimes he felt like he couldn't keep up. He didn't mention it though, because he didn't want to hurt her feelings. Instead, he pushed aside all thought of his mother, and closed his eyes.
"She's my sister," he said simply. "I should have known. I should be able to do something to help, not just sit here, uselessly."
