She rolled her eyes at him. "Of course they are just books to you; they've always been just books to you. However, they are more than that to me and I don't expect you to understand." Rose knew her father tried, but he never quite got her passion for books.
"Right because all everyone needs is food, shelter and water. Who cares that the people in charge are ruling like dictators and the emotional well being of the people here don't matter as long as basic needs are provided."
She muttered a thanks when her dad helped with the pain. "If we do it at Haven there will be no need to involve the 'O Mighty Ones' with something as trivial and insignificant as two people wanting to get married. And since I'm not allowed to complain or speak ill of said rules, I will find alternatives to the original plan."
With a head tilt, she thought that she could recruit the children into helping her with decorations. "Is there anything else?"
