"I lived through that regime. I starved through that regime. You have no idea what it is, because you are here, protected by those dictators you resent so much. You have the option to sit and whinge, because you haven't had to get your hands dirty," she said. "And if you were really thinking you'd see how stupid what you're saying is. Snape is the one making the rules. Just because Jamie is the one telling you, it doesn't change the fact that they make them together, so if you are following him, then you do not get to complain about those rules."
If she thought she had been furious before, it was nothing compared to how she felt after Rose was done, and she didn't even think before doing something she had never done before.
Slap
Her hand connected with Rose's face, the noise echoing in the room without the need of a spell. Hermione couldn't believe what she had done. She'd never hit their children; she believed in talking and reasoning, but this was too much. Rose was ridiculing everything they were doing without knowing how terrible things could get, how it was to live in fear and without food.
She stood up and straightened her robe. "If you want to act like a child, you will be treated as one, but your temper tantrums will not get you what you want, because they endanger everyone here. Rules are here to prevent that these people go through what your father, uncle and I went through, to stop people from being tortured and killed, but you're too spoilt to see that." She shook her head. "I hope you grow, before something happens to you."
