Hermione had no idea what was going on with her daughter. They barely spoke, and she knew it was partly her fault. When there was work, she jumped right in and did everything that needed to be done, but she could see that Rose wasn't herself either. She was the one to write and talk about missing them; she was the emotional one, much like Ron.
For once, she made sure to close the office during dinner time, and she went to the Great Hall. She found her daughter through the crowd and went to her. She smiled when she looked up. "I was wondering if you mind the company," she said as she sat down next to Rose. "We haven't spoken in a while, and I wanted to make sure you were doing all right."
