Being so at ease with each other meant that they could do and say whatever they wanted without repercussions. If everyone else could be like Charlie, things would go much smoother, but most people liked to hide behind a veil of social norms and fake politeness that he hated. "So what you are saying is that they are nuts for thinking this can be like a zoo, but are too nice to tell them that they are nuts. I can volunteer for that job. I seem to do it anyway, even when I don't mean to," he finished, laughing.
