Chuckling, Remus shook his head. "I only did that for necessities, when there was no other way. Cheating someone out of their due payment for frivolous things I wanted to do isn't the way I'm built." Remus wasn't above stealing or using magic to get things needed for survival. But, cheating his way into museums or such didn't count as necessary for survival.
Grinning, Remus bussed Regulus' cheek. "As long as I get to see the smile, we can maintain your image for the rest of the world."
Sighing as Regulus came back to the couch, it was Remus' turn to rest his forehead on his lover's shoulder as he put his arms around the other man's waist. "I'm sorry. I don't know why I'm so out of sorts about this. This is what I meant, though, you clearly want to play a certain way and I'm just disappointing you by not playing along. I don't know. Maybe it is the moon. I didn't think it was quite soon enough for this sort of irritability. But, each month's different." Nodding, he looked up. "That does sound better," he said, once again apologetic. "And I am sorry. I don't mean to be so contrary."
