Re: Marlene/Jacob
"You are a woman of contradictions, you have hidden factors whether you'll admit them or not." Though unlike with other Jacob knew anything hidden about Marlene was not something that would hurt him in the future.
He wished things were that easy, that he could simply find a comfort zone and things would be okay, but he doubted there was ever a place that would feel truly comfortable the way most people meant. Maybe when this was all over, maybe if he lived through it all he could find something like that. "It's not the first time I've worn muggle clothes, you know." Jacob said making the connection in his mind but not speaking it. "It was always for missions, apparently people trust you more easily when you're willing to wear what passes for clothing in that world. I did it this time not because I was trying to gain something, not because I was after information, but because Patrick asked." Well had told him was more truthful, but Jacob knew he could have remained in his robes if he'd truly pushed. "Do you do that? Do things for Alastor, or any of them for that matter, simply because they ask it of you, even if it goes against the norm?"
Jacob nodded as Marlene continued, he didn't know how that would become clear to him, not when it seemed so impossible at the moment, but he wasn't about to ask. He was all ready showing enough weakness in one night.
