She snorted. "I don't think someone like Regulus would agree to anything other than perfect manners, and if that's what you want, then it's fine too. You just have to make sure that you are doing it for yourself and not Regulus. If the openness of it all bothers you, then tell Patrick that you'd rather be a little more private. I can't see him getting upset for that. You also have to realise that we're locked in this school. I can see how it makes you do things that you wouldn't normally. Find your comfort zone."
Marlene was sure that some people would get offended, but she didn't. "You're right, but it doesn't mean that I don't know them. My mother knew them and so did my parents. We didn't conform, but we understood them. I'm also very capable to respect some of those traditions for the right reasons, and that's what I'm telling you. Find your reasons, and when you do, it'll be clear which ones to hold dear and which one to abandon. Just make sure that it's your reasons or you will never be happy."
