Re: Scorpius and Regulus
"I have no passed judgement. I merely stated that the way you did was wrong. If you wanted to come out, you should do it with class. If I wanted to pass judgement, I would have stated that only a complete mentally challenged individual would be so stupid as to be caught in such a childish and naive way. Do you see the difference?" Regulus asked. "Trust me, if I wanted to pass judgement, you would feel it."
He stepped closer, keeping the polite smile on his face, but hissing the words. "You aren't selling out, you are a Malfoy and Black. If anything, you're the sell out. I don't expect you to warm up, only to behave like one. You're also very lucky that I'm not treating you like everyone else, or you'd be in a lot of pain for the insolence you're showing.'
The little twerp was making demands now. "You do not give me orders. You may make requests and phrase them politely. If you do not understand something, you ask, with the proper English words. 'Try it again' is for your retarded friends. 'Could you please elaborate on what you wish me to do?' is how you speak to me as Head of the family. However, I'll be very nice since you are family and I'll explain it again. I am trying to bring the family together, all of it. You can be part of it or not. Anyone being part of it is expected to behave like the royalty we are or be cut off, and when I say anyone, I mean it. That includes my brother, who certainly can act like royalty when he wants, it also includes James and Remus. It would include your boyfriend, if you decide that want to be involved. They will adapt to us, our way of living. As part of the aristocracy, I have duties and so you do. Every single one has an obligation to behave according to expected rules. Unless it has escaped your notice, Remus is talking to your parents, being social. Whether they are pretending or not, it doesn't matter. We are all behaving as we should be. Now, in case no one explained it to you growing up, there are rules in High Society. Having a boyfriend is the least of my concerns, how you conduct yourself is an issue, the way you speak is too. You can follow the rules or not, but I can certainly lecture you if you do not. However if you don't want to be part of that High Society, I will make sure that you never set foot in any of those houses, because I will not have a member of my family dishonour us all, and I won't do that because I don't like you, but because it's my duty as the Head of this family to protect all of its members. Is that clearer?"
