Re: Bellatrix and Belvina
Bella raised an eyebrow, before stepping closer and taking Belvina's arm and lacing it with her own. She did not ask permission, as they were, after all family. "Well now that you have explained yourself, I understand perfectly," she assured her. "But you must not keep your distance. I want to get to know you well."
She smirked a bit at the mention of her job. "I make overpaid men and women actually work for their salaries," she said proudly. "But mostly I oversee all the laws in the country, which stay, which are changed, which are made. Like the new marriage laws, for instance. Our society has fallen a long way to have allowed men to marry other men, and finally Muggles and mudbloods are no longer allowed to dirty our bloodlines." She'd go further, but the Dark Lord had forbidden it, and so she would leave it for now.
"Unkind?" she asked. "But Belvina, surely they will only appreciate some time to get to know their new daughter in law," she said. "They were certainly most kind to take you in, but you don't want to risk overstaying your welcome." She brushed away any concerns that Andromeda would not be happy. "I chose well for her," she stated. "Of course she will be happy here."
