Belvina wasn't so sure she wanted to be strongly associated to either of the sisters but she merely smiled and nodded, verbally agreeing to nothing. If she didn't commit to any promises, she wouldn't be responsible.
"I will be married," she told him, quite sure of it. She had been educated in how to be a wife, had been brought up expecting it. To not be was just unfathomable. "I do not care so much about choosing a husband. It is more that I fear others choosing badly for me."
She looked around and repressed a shudder. She couldn't imagine anything worse.
"And now, Mr. Nott, I should leave you to your guests. They, after all, will be leaving at the end of the night whereas I will still be here," she said with a smile. "Do have a good evening."
