MESSAGE: Bill to Charlie
Who: Bill, Charlie
Where: Hogwarts
When: July 15
Rating/Warnings:
Summary: Bill bosses his little brother around.
Working seven days a week, 12 hours at a go, definitely had it's perks. It meant that for those twelve hours, he didn't need to think. It was when he returned to his rooms that things were harder. It was impossible not to think of those who were lost, about Fleur.
His room now looked like a version of the lab they were in, books stacked high, papers everywhere - it was his way of pushing the fact that he needed to go to bed alone every night away. He'd opted for not having a large bed, settling for a camp bed similar to the ones he'd had when he was still a mere curse-breaker in Egypt. He wasn't sure how much it helped, but he told himself that it made his body forget at least for those hours a night. Of course it also meant a back ache when he woke, but he was ignoring that at the moment.
In spite of a rocky start, they'd done quite well so far. They'd come up with ways to grow crops faster, and were close to adapting some old curses normally used on buildings to work in battle.
Today though, he realised that his wife wasn't the only one he missed. He'd spent too little time with his siblings (Fred excluded) and with his children. There was only one thing to do about that though, so today he decided it was time for his little brother to come out of his hiding and remember he had a family as well, so after his shift he sent a firemessage to Charlie, and waited for him to respond.
I hope having your dragons back doesn't mean you've forgotten about the rest of us entirely. We still want to see you from time to time. Come and have a fake drink with me at Haven. I won't take no for an answer.
