RP: Azriel & Callum
Who: Azriel Pucey, Callum Moody Where: Dragon Camp When: July 13th 2025, afternoon Rating/Warnings: Summary: Azriel never was good at doing what he was told.
Azriel had been curious about the dragons ever since their arrival had been mentioned over breakfast one day. He'd known about the preparations and had also heard about Oliver Wood's death but death was inevitable and wasn't going to make him dwell over it - Especially when he didn't even know Oliver.
No, he wanted to see the dragons. He was going to see them too, even if it meant being chewed out later for it.
Off his shift - night-times worked so much better with his nocturnal nature - he mounted his broom and kicked off, careful to head out of the aerial patrol's usual coverage. The last thing he wanted was to be stopped before he even saw one of the dragons. That would be a complete waste of time not to mention bloody infuriating once one of the so-called heads decided to moan at him for an hour over protocol and safety and not disturbing the dragons.
Honestly, if these dragon-keepers were any good at all then surely they would have them calm by now?
Swooping low into the forest, Azriel began to enjoy himself as he flew through the dense woodland, swerving and swooping as he leaned faster over his broom, challenging his instincts and flying ability more. He didn't pull up when he heard what seemed like wings beating and, looking to see if anybody was watching, finally flew up into the dragon's airspace, amazed at the size and beauty of the scaled creatures. He was so lost in watching them that only a slight elevation of temperature near his right arm made him realise flames were coming his way and he swivelled around and down, streaking towards the ground and then up to confuse the animal, using speed to get out of its way and only just avoiding a wing hitting him in the face by barrel-rolling.
Azriel landed in the forest quickly after that, checking his clothes to make sure nothing was on fire. Perhaps the dragons weren't quite under control even if they were amazing.
