"You didn't say it had to be a good reason," Azriel pointed out. "I was intrigued, I've never seen a dragon before and the situation at the castle offers very little in the way of things to do outside of patrol."
"When do I have to be there by?" he asked. "I've heard the speech about using the forest as a latrine, that doesn't bother me. I don't have to eat with the general mass in the Great Hall and I'll be bothered by less people. Sounds ideal."
He wasn't sure exactly how he'd gone from aristocrat to teacher to aerial patrol to dragon keeper in a few short months but wherever his life was headed -- At least dragons would make it a more interesting place.
