Re: The Crowd
The entire duel was a disgrace, not that he was surprised considering that it was two Gryffindors, but he would have expected better from bloody Potter and Remus.
He stood up, and smoothed his clothes. "And that is the best way to get yourself killed," he said, loudly, waiting to get people's attention. "What they have just demonstrated is how not to fight in case of a real battle. You do not test; you don't not prod. You certainly don't get time to check the other person out. You get one chance to put your opponent down, and you'd better get it right or you're dead."
He shook his head. "You don't cast pretty fires, you set their blood on fire. You don't make smoke; you choke them. You don't let a werewolf near you. Ever. Remus has downplayed his strength, but someone like Greyback will not. He gets you down like that and he won't give you the chance of surrender. He will rip your throat out with his teeth, letting the smell of blood incite the others." He looked at the spectators. "You won't be fighting people who play fairly. You'll fight people who want you dead, so you cast spells that kill and then hide and fast." God, they were all fucked if this was how they fought.
