"Your dad is far too protective," Hugo said, leaning back to study the board. There were several moves he could make, but he didn't know which way he wanted to take the game just yet. "By not letting you learn to fly early, he deprived you of a necessary skill." At least in his book, flying was necessary, no matter how young.
He finally made a move, but was immediately distracted by her foot on his leg. "Hey!" he said, grinning across from her as he flubbed the move, and left her open to take his bishop. "I didn't know Ravenclaws cheated." But two could play that game, and he reached down and captured her foot, drawing it into his lap. He ran his fingers over her ankle, and up her calf, smirking at her. Somehow, he didn't think the Chess game was going to be finished anytime soon.
