"It's all right to want to relax, baby," he said, wrapping his arms around her and placing a kiss on the top of her head. "We all need a break sometime." He actually didn't know how long they could all go, working twelve hour days seven days a week, but they were making the most of it.
"I'm glad he didn't You're safer here, with us." He hated to think what it would have been like if she wasn't here. He'd lost enough, and he couldn't lose her too. "It's not horrible to want to be a kid. We can just take a night off. No one will mind." Especially since they'd already put in their shift today.
"Great. We'll just sit, and maybe have a game of chess." Not that chess was first thing on his mind, but it would be something to do.
