Hugo considered what his mother said, and maybe there was something of merit there. "I'll think about it. I want to travel too, there's a lot I want to do." And he left it unspoken that there was a chance he wouldn't be able to do any of it. "I'm not even sure what career would let me do all of it though."
He shuddered when she called the Ministry sadists, the memory of the previous conversation topic still fresh in his mind. He was sure she'd done that on purpose. His Mum might follow the rules most of the time, but she was a sneaky one. "I know Mum. And I don't know if we're going to stay together all that time, but I do know when I picture myself in thirty years, she's there too." It was a bit odd to be admitting this to his Mum, but she'd never given him bad advice.
He grinned, expecting nothing less from his mother. "Thanks Mum. It's kinda hard to find everything I need in the hours the library is open. And I don't want to take too much time from the Greenhouses. We're very busy." But he trusted that his mum would get him the books he needed, she always did.
