"I was sure I'd go into Quidditch," he said, after a moment of thought. "But I don't think I'd be content with that now. There's the Aurors, or Hit Wizard. Or Curse Breaker. I want to do something useful, but exciting. I'm not cut out to sit around all day, or attend meetings." He made a face at the mention of NEWTs, but not for the reason he might have last year. "Do you think we'll get our OWL results? I mean, I know I did well, but I want to know, you know?" And wasn't that clear.
"Not for at least fifteen to seventeen years," he said, grinning. "Wren has a Life Plan, and it doesn't include marriage or children until she's thirty. And I know we're young, but I can't imagine marrying anyone except her." He'd never admitted that outloud, and he knew it should scare him except it didn't. He didn't know if they'd stay together all that time, but when he thought about where he wanted to be in twenty or thirty years, she was right next to him.
He sighed, pleased with his mother's praise but not wanting to think about school just yet. "Do you have any books about Animagi? I figured if Peter Pettigrew," he made a face at the name, "can do, I can. Plus, Jamie, Dylan and Craig were around my age. But I'm not sure where to start." And if anyone would know the answer to that, it was his Mum.
