Pansy played the game when it was necessary, she made contacts and arranged meetings at her teas, but her son's marriage was not something she wished to be negotiated and made into part of this game. Oh she had expected him to marry a proper pure blooded woman at some point in his life, but she wanted him to choose it, not have it thrust upon him like this. But she wouldn't argue, she knew her son well enough to see he'd made up his mind. And when this was all over they would set it right again. "I suppose we will." She agreed finally.

But is it any wonder with that family, they may be one of the oldest lines but so few of them have turned out well." Belvina was truly the only one who lived up to the family name, and she would have been the only one from that line she approved marrying her son. But there wasn't much to be done for it now.
