Re: Stephen, Andromeda
"Yes, cousin Sirius," Andromeda murmured. "But that's a topic we didn't... don't like to talk about. And James Potter being Harry Potter's father or son?" Two had been mentioned in the history books. She could picture the elder James Potter of course, the young boy Sirius had befriended in school, but the books had mentioned he had married a Lily Evens. Then again, she supposed it would not be the first time a person had married his or her best friend.
"Bella mentioned something to that effect that Sirius had married a man. It's not something I can wrap my mind around, I must admit." It was just something that wasn't done.
Andromeda raised an eyebrow. "Teas and dinners? I supposed they are important in their own ways, but..." she trailed off, "I cannot conceive of a life devoted solely to entertainment. I think the acceptance of woman working outside of the home is one of the things I like most about this present time."
She returned the smile as she looked around the room. "Though I like your ideas. And there's a bit of power, I think, in knowing something and helping people find that information." It had gained her enough favors in Hogwarts.
