Bellatrix sipped her champagne, not pleased to hear her sisters future mistakes being aired in public. However, she supposed she must give them both reassurances. "Perhaps it was," Bellatrix answered. "But mostly I think Andromeda's mistakes were made from the lack of suitable young men in her presence," she said. "What is most important, of course, is that she has learnt from those mistakes, and is adamant not to repeat them now that she has been given a second chance."
"Luckily it's not too late for her, as she has not made any of the mistakes her future self came to make. So she can live her life this time around as it was intended." Which included the rich pure-blood husband, and unfortunately there weren't all that many of them this time around either. Stephen was an excellent match for her however. A scientist, intelligent. Even the unfortunate fact that he'd been a Ravenclaw could be held in his favour where Andromeda was concerned.
She tried to look sympathetic when Pansy mentioned that Stephen was her only child now. "I heard of the unfortunate death of your daughter. You have my most sincere condolences. Pure blood should not be spilled like that."
"It must create a worry in a mother, such a thing, for your remaining child I mean. I'm sure you'd do anything to keep him safe." If they wanted to take that as a threat, then who was Bellatrix to stop them? "Of course with this new government, citizens doing their part to further society need not to worry at all. We will keep your son safe." As long as he did what he was supposed to do.
She turned to Theodore, nodding towards him. "Marriage laws, actually," he said. "I want to put a stop to some of these new deviancies. Men marrying? Really?" She sipped her champagne again. "When we are ready all such unions will be dissolved, as will any union that would not create proper pureblood heirs. It's time we work pro-actively to ensure the future of wizards, and what better than to make sure that all future children are pureblood? We an end the tension in our society for good."
