"Of course, it is only right that our families socialize." Pansy agreed, though that was far from the truth. Looking at Andromeda, perhaps the girl held some vestiges of her family's previous standing, but she had gone on to marry a mudblood - and those of the Black line that had returned were no where near to the social standing that the Nott family still held as far as Pansy was concerned. And she wouldn't even start to consider the Lestranges, perhaps in the past they had been a family of influence and power but the woman who sat with them tonight was only part of their insanity now.
Bellatrix's aims became crystal clear when she sent both Stephen and Andromeda out of the room together. The idea of families socializing, certain pedigrees all of it made sense now but Pansy told herself Bellatrix merely wished to speak in private. This was not a match she wished for her son.
"How is your sister adjusting?" Pansy asked rather than give voice to any of her concerns once they were alone. "I am sure this cannot have been an easy transition for her to make."
