She hated that her father was blaming himself for what Voldemort was doing; it wasn't his fault. "I don't know if Hugo and I had better, but I had a wonderful childhood and I wouldn't change a single minute of it," she told him, giving him a look. "Besides, you and Uncle Harry and Jamie and lots of other people are going to find that...bastard and make everything right again."
Rose had planned on ignoring the tears, but as soon as her father's arms wrapped around her, she let go and the tears came flooding out. "Compared to everything else, it is a silly little dress," she sobbed.
Of course, Rose still wanted to marry Bryn on August 14. However, she felt guilt over wanting to celebrate her happiness when so many lost husbands and wives; sons and daughters; fathers and mothers; friends and lovers.
"Why?" she asked between sobs. "I bet no one else even cares about the stupid wedding."
