Re: Sirius/Regulus
Sirius chuckled, "I have an excellent sense of dry humor, I just choose not to use it." He smirked, especially around the people they were with tonight, of the guests he suspected only James and Regulus would also appreciate that sort of humor. "I remember enough." Sirius shrugged, the problem wasn't the girl he remembered, but who she would be after time spent with her sister.
"I never thought they cared as much about their standing as some families." He grinned, though he wasn't about to start debating the various merits of the Potter family with his brother. Sirius knew that was pointless. "As long as we have an exception for James, you can go right on hating the rest of the family." Sirius would never hope for more than that from his brother, there was too much history to ask for anything more.
He hadn't expected Regulus to touch him, a hand on his arm reminding him of the words his brother spoke. "There's just more to lose now." He glanced for a moment at James, and he knew if Azkaban had been torture it would be nothing compared with losing his husband. "We'll just have to make sure that doesn't happen though." He pulled off one of those teasing smiles he relied on occasionally, and pushed down his worries for the moment.
