Re: Dom/Dylan
Dom was surprised at the concern Dylan showed next, they'd been mostly teasing - oh the topic of their conversation was serious enough, but they'd been tossing around teasing grins and smiles while they talked. She hadn't expected things to sober so quickly.
"Hey," She stopped him when he started going off on the 'what if's, a hand against his cheek. "I know what's at stake here. I know I'm just a dumb animal now to most people, and I know what they'll do to me if they find a way to make themselves feel justified." She sighed, she didn't like it and it wasn't fair but she knew. No matter how much she still thought of herself as a human, she wasn't. She felt different, and not just on the days leading up to the full - she was different all the time. And maybe that did give people the right to be afraid of her, to try and kill her, she couldn't say for sure.
"I've always had a temper, sort of a family tradition." She offered him one of those teasing smiles they'd been trading back and forth. "It's harder now, keeping it under control - but I do know what can happen if I'm not careful. I remind myself of it every day." Every time she wanted to yell at someone, every time she wanted to punch someone - she reminded herself of what could happen.
