Re: Patrick/Jacob
Patrick left the discussion about Voldemort go. Neither of them could do much about what was happening out there, and worrying wasn't going to improve things either. He left that job for someone else, people like Moody and Potter.
"I don't know what else to tell you, Jacob. You killed people; I get it. You aren't the only one. Fuck, Jacob, look at the people here. Snape is in charge and don't tell me he never killed anyone, and not always for the right side. The Blacks, the Malfoys, they all killed, and yet they are free, some of them are in here. As you said, the good guys killed, too. I'm not going to judge people for things they did decades ago, not knowing their personal situation, not knowing what would happen if they hadn't. I'm not going to judge you, and I don't care why you are here. The point is that you are, and we can be friends or not, that's really up to you," he said. "Before you decide, though, think about what's going on around us, and try to come up with a single valid reason why I'd be lying. Because I can't come up with any."
