Re: Patrick/Jacob
Jacob had to admit Patrick was right and he nodded - keeping his thoughts to himself, never in a million years would he have ever considered such a betrayal in the past - perhaps not even if he'd truly know what the Dark Lord was. He wanted to be at his right hand, to have a place of honor when the war was finally over. But now, he couldn't say if it was this time, the knowledge of just what his loyalty had cost him the last time, or something else entirely. But things had changed.
"We can only hope." Jacob wasn't in a hurry to be killed, though he wouldn't have minded a chance to kill Bellatrix at some point in the future - but that would have to wait.
He didn't know what to think, when Patrick told him, for not the first time, that all he wanted was fun. There was nothing beyond that and Jacob he couldn't make it fit. "That doesn't make sense, even if I am gay - you've heard it for yourself, I am a murder, I've hurt countless people, and as I'm sure plenty of people would only be too willing to tell you the only reason I'm here is because I had no where else to go. It doesn't make sense for you to want anything from me, if you have no motives."
