Emmeline watched him. "It bothers you, to be read," she said. She could sympathise, sometimes it was necessary not to be read. "You're among friends here," she said. "You can relax and be obvious around us."
She smiled. "She has a way about her," Emmeline agreed. "It's better to go along with her most of the time. Easier, but usually more interesting too. YOu never know where you'll end up or what you'll end up doing. I'd still be stuck in a library with a nose in a book if it weren't for her."
Emmeline smiled. "Spoken like someone who likes to work. You'll find people with families have other priorities, and some seem to favour their sleep. Nevertheless it's necessary to train, and this is a good distraction for when people think it's too much."
She smiled. "Training will be a new thing, and yes, more interesting than opening mail."
