Dylan squeezed his arm. "Then I'll keep asking," he said. "As long as you want me to." He looked at Ben, and figured he might as well get to the point. Putting up a privacy spell to make sure they weren't heard, he smiled a bit.
"You know it's Jamie's birthday coming up, right?" he said. "I want to throw a party for him. Nothing too taxing, just a few friends hanging around, some music, a chance to relax and be himself without work," he said. "We're going to do a congratulations thing in the Great Hall first, then drag him off privately, likely to Remus' rooms. I was wondering if you felt like playing something?" he said. "We'll get ordinary music too, but I figured it wouldn't go amiss with some live music as well. If you want to, that is." He smiled.
"If you don't want to you can still not tell a soul about it," he added with a smirk. "We're surprising him."
