RP: Baron & Dom Who: Baron, Dom Where: Hogwarts, Dragon training area When: June 24 Rating/Warnings: Summary: Baron finally decides to see why there is a girl on the team
In the three days since he'd returned from the dead, for lack of a better word, Baron had kept himself busy. There was fifty years of history to go through, not to mention a dragon encampment to get ready. There wasn't a lot of time to sit and think, or mourn his lost wife and child. His father had had to stop him from attempting to leave, intent on finding Cora. He'd wanted to see for himself that his little girl was safe, but in the end had followed his father's orders, though not without some colorful language.
The distraction of being so displaced in time was the reason it took him three days to notice her. Once he did, he wondered how it had taken him so long to notice that there was a girl training with them. It didn't make any sense, not in a dragon camp. It just wasn't done. Women weren't cut out for the life of a dragon keeper, and were a distraction at best and a liability at worst.
He wasn't in charge, but he didn't see the logic behind a woman training alongside the men. It wasn't fair to her, to get her hopes up. He knew it wasn't his place, but he'd never liked to be around disappointed women. They whined too much. Better that she know right from the start what she'd be expected to provide, if she were going to be hanging around the camp.
His father and Charlie could thank him later, he thought as he made his way over after the day's training was done. "Sweetheart, do you have a minute?" It wasn't really a question, but he'd been raised to be polite.
