Harry blinked. "I'll just tell her not to hex him, shall I?" he said, ignoring most of that statement. He did not want to think of owls and Severus in the same sentence.
Harry looked at Severus. Son-in-law? Now that wasn't something he'd ever expected. "I should say welcome to the family," he said, though he'd never feel as warm towards Severus as he did towards Sirius, there was no possibility of that.
"When you have time," he said addressing Severus. "I'd appreciate talking over the security arrangements," he said. "I realise that I have no authority here, but I hope that I can still contribute with my knowledge." Now that was something that took more than a little bit of effort to say. It was strange, up until a year ago he'd just been an Auror, but one year in charge and it was hard to let it go. Mostly though, he just wanted to do something. Sitting around waiting for orders coming from none other than his son was difficult to say the least.
