Snape waited until James had left the podium before moving to stand there in turn. "Before we eat, I do have one final piece of news: not an emergency I assure you," he hastened to add, "nothing so vital to the conduct of the war as anything my colleague has said. But I like to think it's good news."
He paused, his gaze finding Al where he sat, in the midst of the audience, and he smiled. "I'm delighted to announce that this morning, in a private ceremony to minimise disruption to everyone's routine, Albus Potter and I were wed."
He inclined his head, and with a simple "Good evening," he strolled away from the podium.
