Re: Bill, Al, Peter
"How would you know that without even having so much as glanced at my suggestion?" Bill asked amused, and unlike Peter he actually looked when Peter showed him the full calculations. After that, he had still not changed his opinion.
"I've done this," he said. "Not in theory, not on paper, but in real life. I'll show you the work, I brought it with me. I can demonstrate the problems it got me," he said, before looking up at Peter.
"About a years worth then," he said. Not much at all. "You'll have to get used to it here. No one is going to be working alone on anything, too much is at stake. We need to make sure that the spells don't cancel each other out and we have vastly different experiences and can therefore add several different kinds of input," he added. "We don't have time for anything else. We need to get things live and fast. As I am in charge, that will be the way things are run."
"I'm a very informal guy, I don't mind being contradicted when I'm wrong about a calculation, and I like debates, but when it comes to the way we work, it's my word that will be final." And he would not have anyone work unsupervised. The risks were too great, far too great.
