Summary: The Order retreats to Hogwarts.

As soon as Jamie was out of the Ministry, he Apparated to Grimmauld Place, and began sending messages.

He sent the first message to Severus and Moody. Voldemort has taken control of the Ministry, get ready to set up defences at Hogwarts. Be there as soon as I inform everyone..

The second was a fire message to all members of the Order: Voldemort has control of the Ministry. You and your family are to relocate at Hogwarts immediately. Take anything necessary; you won't go back.

Then there was fire message to the teachers on board who were members of the Order, while the ones who weren't received a Patronus with the exact message.

Voldemort has control of the Ministry and there was an explosion at King's Cross. Do not tell the students or you'll have panic. Stop the train, Apparate the Muggleborns home and advise them to leave immediately. Advice anyone capable of Apparating, with or without a license, to take themselves and any siblings home. When done, retreat to Hogwarts and bring Hugo, Alex, Roxanne and Louis Weasley.

Another Patronus was for Al: Voldemort has control of the Ministry. Go to Hogwarts immediately. Take anything necessary from the house, because you won't go back.

Finally, he sent a last message to Sirius. You'd better be okay. I'm going to Hogwarts, get your arse there, and let me know, you're okay.

Finally, he changed into something more comfortable, grabbed his broom and anything that he could think they'd need in the coming months. Thankfully, they had the house under Fidelius and would be able to return. He handed the trunk to Dolan and told him to go straight to Kreacher and then he Apparated to Hogwarts, the last free place in the country.

Bill was at work when Jamie's message arrived, deep in the work that allowed him at least some distraction from his life. When getting the message, his face paled, but he knew he couldn't just go to Hogwarts. There were other things that would be needed. Grabbing papers from his files - spells, security arrangements, things that could be used at Hogwarts - he made magical copies and stuffed them into a large bag. With a spell the bag would fit more than enough, and with another spell the copied papers were hidden. He banished the originals back to their places.

Next step was Apparating to the ground floor. With a casual air he passed the queue, getting the first cart after a word with the Goblin, then it bore off down into the tunnels below and his vault. He emptied the entire contents into the bag, and when it got too heavy, he conjured up one more and filled that too. He hesitated for a moment, but without the key he couldn't get into the other vaults of the family. This would have to be enough. With the bags in hand, he got back into the cart and sat still while it returned. The bags were almost too heavy to lift, but he heaved them out when he left the cart, went back towards his office before Apparating straight to his house. The Goblins would wonder, but not for long.

He called out for mum, but there was no answer. Perhaps she had already gone? He didn't have time to find out, he'd taken long enough at the bank. A third bag and he grabbing anything that might be useful before finally taking his broom and Apparating to Hogwarts. By now only the levitating spells on the bags made them possible to carry and he knew he was reduced to walking to the school if he was going to get them there at all.

Charlie had been working on clearing out space for the dragons again when he'd gotten the message. The Ministry was under attack, and his heart stopped - so many of his family worked there. But he pushed aside his worry it wasn't going to help anyone now and focused on doing what he could to help.

He saw Hermione taking charge of things and started helping to guide people in the right directions as they arrived at the castle, making sure people who needed medical attention got it, all the while keeping an eye out for family members as they arrived.

He breathed a sigh of relief when he finally caught sight of his older brother arriving and stopped what he was doing long enough to pull Bill into a tight hug ignoring the many bags he was carrying. "You're okay? Anyone else with you?" He asked, though it looked like Bill had come on his own. He was still waiting for George, for their mother, he'd seen Fred and Alex all ready, even Dom and Louis, there were still so many others missing.
