Summary: The Order retreats to Hogwarts.

As soon as Jamie was out of the Ministry, he Apparated to Grimmauld Place, and began sending messages.

He sent the first message to Severus and Moody. Voldemort has taken control of the Ministry, get ready to set up defences at Hogwarts. Be there as soon as I inform everyone..

The second was a fire message to all members of the Order: Voldemort has control of the Ministry. You and your family are to relocate at Hogwarts immediately. Take anything necessary; you won't go back.

Then there was fire message to the teachers on board who were members of the Order, while the ones who weren't received a Patronus with the exact message.

Voldemort has control of the Ministry and there was an explosion at King's Cross. Do not tell the students or you'll have panic. Stop the train, Apparate the Muggleborns home and advise them to leave immediately. Advice anyone capable of Apparating, with or without a license, to take themselves and any siblings home. When done, retreat to Hogwarts and bring Hugo, Alex, Roxanne and Louis Weasley.

Another Patronus was for Al: Voldemort has control of the Ministry. Go to Hogwarts immediately. Take anything necessary from the house, because you won't go back.

Finally, he sent a last message to Sirius. You'd better be okay. I'm going to Hogwarts, get your arse there, and let me know, you're okay.

Finally, he changed into something more comfortable, grabbed his broom and anything that he could think they'd need in the coming months. Thankfully, they had the house under Fidelius and would be able to return. He handed the trunk to Dolan and told him to go straight to Kreacher and then he Apparated to Hogwarts, the last free place in the country.

There were too many people, and Sirius wasn't sure he was going to be able to find James right away - not before he let himself pass out the way he wanted at least. But before he got to pass out a man approached him - he looked familiar, though he knew he didn't know him.

He found himself nodding though when he suggested he sit down, wincing when he put an arm around him. "Yeah, things got a little crazy at the Ministry today." He huffed out a short laugh, letting the other man help him to a place for him to sit.

"Sirius." He managed. At least he wasn't going to bleed out, or he hoped not.

"So I've been told," he said, although his attention was elsewhere, trying to find a place where they wouldn't stand in anyone's way. "Here, let's get you down." He kept his eyes on the shoulder as he helped the man to the ground.

Callum knelt next to him and ripped the Hit Wizard robe. "Well, Sirius, you aren't going to die, but depending on the hex, you might have a scar." He looked at the man's hand. "At least there's no wife to complain and the girls likes scars," he said, hoping to make the man relax, while he cast a few spells to determine the hexes involved and finding the best way to stop the bleeding completely.

Oh yes the ground was very nice, Sirius decided. He just might never get up. It was that good - and at that moment sounded like a perfectly reasonable idea.

"Well that's good news." He liked hearing he wasn't going to die, he hadn't really wanted to die, James would kill him if he did. He might have been bleeding more than he realized with just how ridiculous he was sounding even to himself. "I'm sure my husband will have something to say about it though." He snorted.

"But I think he likes the scars too." He nodded slowly, feeling just a little dizzy while letting the man cast spells on him.

Callum stopped, wand hovering Sirius' shoulder. "Your husband?" Wow, things had changed, because he couldn't imagine two men being married. He shook his head, because he had no time to waste. "What's his name? So he likes scars, what else does he like?" he asked, not really caring, but he wanted the man conscious.

He finally was able to close the wound, but he knew that they would need blood replenishing potions, and a healer to double check that there was any latent magic. "I'm done," he said. "We need to get you to the infirmary. Can you walk? I can carry you if it's easier."

Sirius nodded, Callum must not have been from around here when he asked about his husband. He didn't get that reaction from people who all ready knew about the law change. "Crazy isn't it? Never thought something like that wound happen." He slurred when he spoke and nodded slowly.

"James, Jamie, I call him James though - everyone else calls him Jamie." He wanted to add that he did too, sometimes, when it was just the two of them, when he really needed James. But the words didn't want to seem to come out. "Likes me." He chuckled softly. "And quidditch." He furrowed his brow thinking about the other things James liked.

But his thoughts were interrupted when Callum told him he'd finished. He sighed when he asked if he could walk. Sure he could walk but the ground was feeling really good still - why would he want to walk anywhere? "I can." He nodded again, he didn't think he wanted to be carried anywhere, pushing himself up slowly though his head spun when he got up to his feet and he staggered for not the first time that day.

"Yeah, crazy. SO you aren't from around here either?" he asked, as he stood up, positioning him behind him to help him up.

"So he likes you and Quidditch. I can't blame him about the game. It's pretty cool," he said as he reached for the other man and helped him up. "So this Jamie? Can we find him here? I'll get him for you." He moved to the side and put an arm around Sirius, holding his weight as they started to walk toward the castle. "Let's try this your way, but if it gets too much, I'm carrying you no matter what you say."

"No." He shook his head, Callum had answered his unspoken question about whether or not he was from around here. "They killed me, long time ago. But here I am again, not quite dead. Can't really kill me it seems." He was babbling and he knew it, but he seemed to be unable to stop himself. It was either that or pass out, and he hadn't found James yet so passing out would have to wait just a little longer.

"It is." Sirius agreed when Callum started talking about Quidditch. "Always liked it." He nodded, glad that Callum hadn't let him fall flat onto his face the way he would have if he hadn't been there. "Yeah, he's here." He nodded. "Just ask anyone with red hair, they should know." He nodded, leaning heavily against Callum, he was totally capable of walking on his own - he just needed a little help.

"They killed me a long time ago, too." He didn't mention that they had killed his son, and he hadn't come back. At this point, he was more interested in getting this man to the infirmary.

"Okay, I'll find a redhead and ask for Jamie." It didn't make sense, but he didn't care as long as they kept walking, steadily making their way to the infirmary. When they got there, he used to fingers to whistle and got the Healer's attention. He helped Sirius to a bed before telling the healer what he'd done. "I'll go find your husband for you. See you later."
