Summary: The Order retreats to Hogwarts.

As soon as Jamie was out of the Ministry, he Apparated to Grimmauld Place, and began sending messages.

He sent the first message to Severus and Moody. Voldemort has taken control of the Ministry, get ready to set up defences at Hogwarts. Be there as soon as I inform everyone..

The second was a fire message to all members of the Order: Voldemort has control of the Ministry. You and your family are to relocate at Hogwarts immediately. Take anything necessary; you won't go back.

Then there was fire message to the teachers on board who were members of the Order, while the ones who weren't received a Patronus with the exact message.

Voldemort has control of the Ministry and there was an explosion at King's Cross. Do not tell the students or you'll have panic. Stop the train, Apparate the Muggleborns home and advise them to leave immediately. Advice anyone capable of Apparating, with or without a license, to take themselves and any siblings home. When done, retreat to Hogwarts and bring Hugo, Alex, Roxanne and Louis Weasley.

Another Patronus was for Al: Voldemort has control of the Ministry. Go to Hogwarts immediately. Take anything necessary from the house, because you won't go back.

Finally, he sent a last message to Sirius. You'd better be okay. I'm going to Hogwarts, get your arse there, and let me know, you're okay.

Finally, he changed into something more comfortable, grabbed his broom and anything that he could think they'd need in the coming months. Thankfully, they had the house under Fidelius and would be able to return. He handed the trunk to Dolan and told him to go straight to Kreacher and then he Apparated to Hogwarts, the last free place in the country.

Rose stood off to the side as her mother cast the patonus message. Oh, Bryn, please, please hurray! she prayed while trying not to burst into tears. When Mum gave her a job to do, she nodded.

"Of course," she said before summoning parchment, ink and a quill. "When I'm done in the kitchen, would you like me to check the greenhouses? I think Neville may have some edible plants, but I don't know how many or which kinds. There's also the vegetable patch outside the caretaker's cottage. I'll check those last."

Following her mum out of the room, Rose stopped for a just a moment. "Do you think Daddy's safe? Will he be here soon?" she asked in a quiet voice, full of worry. She knew that there was so much to do, but she needed some reassurance.

Hermione was pleased that Rose was calming down. "Talk to Neville, and go with him. We need to know what he has, not just food, but potions ingredients as well. We'll need ingredients for the Wolfsbane and other medicinal potions. He should make a list of things that need to be planted or obtained.

She stopped and turned to look at her daughter. "Don't do that, love. You do your job, and stop worrying." Not that she had ever been too good at that, but she's learnt that it was more productive to stop thinking about things she couldn't fix. "Your father knows how to take care of himself." Hugo was a different matter.

Rose nodded and made a mental note to find him once she was done in the kitchen. As much as she was disgusted by the idea of having to speak with the potion's professor, she also reminder herself, to ask him what ingredients he had in the cupboards.

"All right, Mum," she mumbled, still worried and scared for her family. Rose honestly didn't know if she could take anymore of them dying. She gave a brief nod and rushed towards the stairs heading down to the kitchen.
