Marlene nodded. She knew it had to be a shock. Even though she knew, it was still a shock. Dumbledore was immortal. "This means that it's up to us now, and yes, he had a room here. He'd left the farmhouse. They wanted to keep the school safe for the summer." At least that what they had told her, but guts said there had been more, but it didn't matter now.
She shrugged. "I don't know for sure. It's just a feeling. I was pretty good at guessing what he would be doing next. It's nothing I can rationalise, not the way you do. I'd sit next to his trophies and hideaway until I got it. It's how I caught up with him last time. Dumbledore trusted my gut. I told him where it'd be. I thought there'd be a plan, but instead he went by himself."
She chuckled. "You can help me, but I'm not sure you like the way I discover things. I'm pretty sure Alastor despises it."
