Remus
There were two things Remus would fight harder to protect than anything else on the planet -- his family and his students. He'd had both on the Express. Letting most of the other professors handle getting the children to safety, Remus had taken to the air to provide covering fire and stayed there until the last possible moment.
By the time he got back to the school, everything was in chaos and with the battle rush still coursing through him, it was almost overwhelming once he got closer to that crush of people. And not all of them were 'normal'. He could sense several of his own kind in the mix, even if he couldn't make out many individuals at all in the crowd. Shrinking his broom down and putting it in his pocket, he glanced around for an out of the way place where maybe the scent of blood wouldn't be quite as heavy.
Although, he now realised some of that was his. Nothing serious or life threatening or even in need of attention with his healing; but he hadn't come out of things unscathed. For a moment, he thought he might be wrong in his assessment as a burning sensation began at this side.
Then he realised it was the Map alerting him to yet more people coming onto the grounds.
Shaking his head at himself, he moved further into the chaos. He wanted to find Regulus, Ted, James, Sirius, and Harry, not necessarily in that order. Then he'd see if he could give the other werewolves assistance getting in and dealing with the crowd. If he was nearly overwhelmed, many of those with less experience dealing with the sensory overload would be climbing the walls by now and they needed to keep everyone calm until they could regroup.
Later, he could think about the children left behind, the dead, the missing, the future.
