Ben was tossing a frisbee for the dogs when his father's Patronus came. Get to Hogwarts, it said in his father's voice. Immediately, and with anything you need. You won't be back. Ben blinked, startled, and then went into action. He'd question his father later, but he knew it had to be important. He hadn't heard Anthony sound so scared and desperate ever.
He grabbed the mobile in his pocket and dialed Ronan, not surprised when he lover didn't answer. He left a brief message, telling Ronan to get to school as fast as he could, and not to worry about the house. He pushed back the fear that gripped him, that something was seriously wrong and Ronanw as in danger. He knew his lover would do his job, and come home to him. Even if home was going to be Hogwarts.
Then he started packing. He was good with shrinking and weightless charms, and in less than a half hour had most of their possessions packed. Ronan's had been easiest, they were all still in his two dufflebags--weapons, clothes, a few personal items--and Ben added them to the pile. His guitar and music journals went next, and Bob's food. The piano was next, a careful bit of Transfiguration had it miniature sized and he'd let people make fun of him for bringing it, but he couldn't imagine what he'd do without it.
Food was next, followed by clothes, books, photos and anything else he could find and fit quickly. Once he was certain he had everything, he shrank all the bags and put them in one large, wizard-space trunk, before lightening that and lifting it. Then he called to the dogs, hoped Nicky was okay, and Apparate to the Hogwarts gates, and made his way up to the castle.
