"You can't go to Kings Cross," Dylan said. "Most of the Auror force responded to an attack there earlier and while it was likely just a diversion, I'm not sure it's safe. I can't tell you what is going on, but don't go to Kings Cross until you've checked that it's safe."
Just then, Jamie's fire message appeared, and Dylan blinked, filled with a rush of relief to know that Jamie was okay at the same time as trying to figure out what to do. He couldn't help Cassandra with her sister, he needed to go, but at the same time he couldn't do nothing either.
"Send a house elf," he said. "You have those, right?" he asked, but they were the rich kind, of course they had to have at least one. "Send an house elf to Apparate her home." Now if only everyone could do that. But at least there was one more person who would be safe.
He sighed. "I really do need to go, are you sure you'll be okay?" He needed to get his broom at home, some clothes, then a quick stop to let Ben know about Ronan before he went to Hogwarts. It wasn't the best situation to take a stop, but he couldn't let Ben find out from anyone else. He needed to tell him before he went, even if it meant just telling him and leaving.
