Requiem was holding back his laughter, his head ducked down, his face pointed away from them, shaking a little with the repressed laughs. He wondered if the boy had thought it would work ... but then he heard it was a joke. That made more sense, and he released the laughter. "She is a bit naive," he said, tipping a wink to Lily. "She 'as several large, protective brothers."
"Oi!" Lily said. If Hugo hadn't been between them, she would've slugged Remy. "I am not naive," she muttered - though now she wondered if she was, since she'd never heard that particular ... line before.
"The cutest girl here, really?" she said as she turned her brown eyes on him. Her eyes flicked curiously over him, and she thought he was cute enough. Muggle, she realized - he must be, if he wasn't at camp and she'd never seen him at school.
Was it weird, she wondered, that he was really the first Muggle she'd spoken with outside of shopkeeps and cashiers? "Well, I'm Lily. This is my cousin Hugo, and our friend Remy."
