A shiver of disgust went down Mona's spine - or was it the cold of the ice? "Blue oh gods that's gross," she said, her face contorted as if she had just eaten a big, juicy worm and didn't like the taste at all.
She took the lemon ice from Alex and bit a small amount off, letting the sour-sweet taste tickle over her tongue as the ice melted.
"Well...if you're sure. I'm not crazy about either of us getting into trouble, but I know my parents wouldn't go ape shit on me. Well, not about the drinking, anyhow," she said, then looked at the ground for a moment.
