Alex nodded and they headed for the bench. He felt like crap, but he didn't think he felt as bad as she did. "I don't think they'd let us stay there to die," he muttered, dropping onto the bench and leaning his head back. "I'm pretty sure they'll enjoy watching us croak here..."
He reached into his pocket for a toffee, managing to get it into his mouth, then offered her one. "Maybe the sweet will settle your stomach." He didn't know if he believed that, but it was worth a try.
